You choose where Classglide works. This page explains the content it uses to answer questions, what stays in your browser, and how your account data is handled.

The page you switch on

Classglide reads questions in tabs you activate: question text, options, relevant headings or passages, and the page title. For writing and discussions, it may also read the assignment, rubric, citation requirements, linked sources, and the post you are replying to.

For visual questions, Classglide also sends relevant question images, diagrams, equations, or answer-choice images to its AI provider. If an image cannot be read directly, it can capture that image’s visible area in the active tab. The full-tab screenshot stays in the browser; only the cropped image is sent. Image bytes are processed for the request and are not saved in extension storage or the account database.

This content is sent to the Classglide service and its configured AI provider to prepare an answer. Personal details you choose to provide for an assignment can be included. Assignment and source URLs may be processed for context and citations. Classglide does not read Chrome's browsing-history database or send browser cookies and pages in unrelated tabs to the AI.

The account service does not save question text or generated answers in its database. The AI provider also processes the content sent with a request, under its own data practices.

Relevant course material

For a course assignment, the extension can read module information and relevant linked material using your signed-in browser session. It uses material from the current or earlier part of the course, rather than later modules.

PDF or Word content may be sent to the service for text extraction. Public source URLs may be sent so the service can read linked pages, files, or available recording transcripts. Relevant excerpts may then accompany the question sent to the AI.

When an assignment needs outside references, the service sends topic terms and source requirements to its AI provider’s web search. It reads candidate public sources and checks their relevance and required dates before including excerpts in the writing request.

If a public source cannot be read by the service, the extension may open it in a temporary background tab. It sends the article’s visible text, links, and publication details as sanitized HTML to the service for verification. Password fields, forms, browser cookies, and unrelated page controls are excluded. The temporary tab closes when reading finishes or stops.

Your course session cookies remain in your browser. The extension does not send those cookies to the account service or AI provider. Files sent for extraction are processed for the request and are not added to the account database.

What stays in your browser

Settings, hidden-element rules, window preferences, and a revocable sign-in token are kept in Chrome’s extension storage. Question answers and request diagnostics are kept only for the current browser session and are not a permanent answer history.

If you turn on Learn from graded quizzes, the extension saves the grader’s feedback locally so it can use accepted answers and avoid known mistakes on a later attempt. This option is off by default. It is separate from generated-answer retention.

Detected AI-use notices are omitted from the writing context. Automatically hide notices also hides them on the page and is on by default. You can review the collapsed notice list, restore notices, or turn page hiding off in Settings.

Request inspection and detailed troubleshooting controls are available only to administrators. These details can include questions, source excerpts, and generated answers.

The extension sends no analytics, telemetry, or automatic crash reports.

Accounts and payments

The service stores your email, optional profile name and image, account creation date, plan status, monthly usage totals, purchased packs, and connected-browser records. A website session cookie keeps you signed in. Google sign-in, when available, also associates your Google account identifier with your account.

To apply usage allowances and protect the service from abuse, Classglide records answer and source-research usage, request times, and completion status. Sign-in and browser-linking requests use your IP address for temporary rate limits. Website session records also include the browser's user-agent information. Classglide does not request GPS coordinates or use IP addresses to look up your location.

When payments are enabled, Stripe handles payment details. The account service stores the customer and subscription references needed to apply your plan; it does not receive your full card number.

Limited use of your data

Classglide follows the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements, when handling user data, including data received from Google APIs.

We use this data only to provide and maintain the assignment-answering service and the account, payment, and support features described in this policy. We do not sell user data, use it for advertising, or use it to determine creditworthiness or for lending.
